For second consecutive year, Gartner names Logz.io for ‘completeness of vision and ability to execute’

Boston and Tel Aviv, July 10, 2023 — Logz.io, provider of the industry’s most efficient, simple-to-use observability platform, based on open source, announced today that it has been named a Visionary by Gartner in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability. This marks the second consecutive year Logz.io has been recognized as a Visionary by Gartner for its completeness of vision and ability to execute in the annual report of the APM and observability market.

Logz.io has undertaken numerous steps to expand and deepen the value of its Open 360™ observability platform over the last year. Among the most significant advancements delivered over the previous 12 months have been the launch of the unified Kubernetes 360 solution, extended Telemetry Collector agent and additional data and cost optimization capabilities in the form of the new Data Optimization Hub.

“We’re very pleased to be recognized once again as a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for APM and Observability.,” said Logz.io’s CEO, Tomer Levy. “Since our inclusion last year, we’ve unveiled our Open 360 platform and launched an array of key capabilities, such as the Kubernetes 360 solution, to address specific market requirements laid out in Gartner’s outstanding research.”

According to Logz.io’s own 2023 DevOpsPulse survey, most organizations remain challenged to drive down mean time to recovery (MTTR) despite growing maturity of their observability practices – with over 75% of respondents indicating that their MTTR exceeds multiple hours, a 10% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, concerns related to the complexity of modern cloud architectures, along with burgeoning data volumes and costs, also continue to escalate among organizations as they seek to mature their observability strategies.

Logz.io’s focused effort to deliver unified observability that automates key processes and allows users to closely control related costs are all aimed at directly addressing these issues.

“We’ve also made significant steps such as introducing our Alert Recommendations and incorporating generative AI into our Cognitive Insights capabilities, delivering targeted AI to cut MTTR from hours to minutes,” Levy said. “We are making tremendous progress in our mission to simplify observability and help engineering teams troubleshoot faster while reducing costs. We believe that being named as one of the vendors listed on the ‘completeness of vision’ side of this market is validating and clearly underlines our strategic value to customers.”

Gartner Magic Quadrant reports are a culmination of rigorous, fact-based research in specific markets, providing a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the providers in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct. Providers are positioned into four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players, based on their “Completeness of Vision” and “Ability to Execute.”

Logz.io’s Open 360™ Platform unifies log, metric and trace data into a single platform to provide full “360 degree” visibility into the health and performance of today’s complex cloud applications and infrastructure. Open 360 is based on leading open source observability technologies, including OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Jaeger. Logz.io further enhances these technologies with a unified experience and numerous AI-based capabilities that simplify and reduce the cost of observability while reducinging Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).
