Today we are excited to share a key milestone, not only for Logz.io, but also for our industry as a whole. For the first time ever, an industry analyst took on the ambitious challenge of analyzing and assessing several different markets including monitoring and telemetry, APM, AIOps, observability, and more. The radar also takes account of evaluating leaders’ various products, unveiling a comprehensive overview under the unified lens of Observability.
And, we’re thrilled to share that Logz.io came out performing very strongly in the report, as we were officially named a Leader and Fast Mover in the GigaOm Radar for Cloud Observability, 2021*. You can access the full report here for yourself!
The GigaOM Radar for Cloud Observability was designed to “evaluate key vendors in the emerging application/system/infrastructure observability space” and the report “aims to equip IT decision-makers with the information they need to select providers according to their specific needs.”
Analyzing the Observability Market
The research project was the first attempt by GigaOM, or any analyst firm for that matter, to build criteria and include vendors for the Observability market that we serve, and we are delighted to have received such a strong placement.
The report’s primary author, Andy Thurai, noted that Logz.io is a “very strong open-source, OpenTelemetry, cloud-based solution” with “log management and search capabilities that are top-notch.”
The report also recognizes our continued commitment to expanding our offering with flexible storage and pricing options and AI and ML-driven capabilities.
Monitoring, Telemetry & Troubleshooting
To earn GigaOm’s respect as a Leader, Logz.io also had to demonstrate the ability to deliver the “golden telemetry signals” of logs, metrics and traces. And, thankfully, we continue to deliver this data to our customers to facilitate their cloud monitoring, debugging and troubleshooting initiatives as a fully managed service on our unified open source-based observability platform.
The placement in the Leader tier of the Radar is also important for our team and community, as we are the only privately-held and open source-based vendor that was deemed mature and innovative enough to executive at this essential level and “tier.”
Logz.io as an Observability Industry Leader
The report concludes that the Leaders in the Radar offer the most unified approach to managing and monitoring telemetry data, while also striking a balance between enabling cloud-native technologies and offering enterprise functionality, integration and robustness.
This is exactly the strategy we set out to executie on here at Logz.io, and we are thrilled to earn this recognition as it supports our vision, strategy and commitment to our customers and the broader open source community.
