The announcement of OpenSearch (derived from Elasticsearch 7.10.2) and OpenSearch Dashboards (derived from Kibana 7.10.2) comes on the heels of Elastic’s announcement of its intention to transition Elasticsearch and Kibana to a proprietary dual license. Since that date, and the open source community have been working collaboratively to make it easy for as many people and organizations as possible to use OpenSearch in their business, their products, and their projects.
