Introducing OrionIQ Chat in Open 360 AI

    OrionIQ’s agentic investigation is now built into Logz.io Open 360 AI. Ask a question and OrionIQ investigates across your telemetry, shows its work as it goes, links every finding back to the exact query behind it, and tells you how much to trust the answer.

    Today we’re bringing OrionIQ Chat into Open 360 AI. This is the first OrionIQ product to ship inside the Logz.io platform, and it’s the same agent that powers the standalone OrionIQ app, now available right where you already work.

    It replaces the previous Open 360 AI chat with something fundamentally different. The old chat answered questions. OrionIQ runs investigations.

    From answering questions to running investigations

    Most real observability questions don’t have a single-source answer. The context is spread across logs, metrics, deployments, and the other systems you run. A one-shot reply can summarize. It can’t investigate.

    When you ask OrionIQ something involved, it plans an approach and delegates to specialized agents, one for logs, one for metrics, one for your connected integrations, then brings their findings together into a single, structured answer.

    And it never asks you to take that on faith. You can watch the whole investigation as it happens:

    • Step by step, in plain language. Each action appears as OrionIQ works, like “Exploring logs” or “Measuring metrics,” grouped by the agent doing it, with a running timer.
    • Open to the raw detail. Expand any step to see the exact query it ran and what came back.
    • At your pace. Choose Fast for a quick, direct answer or Advanced for a deep investigation. You set the trade-off between speed and depth every time you ask.

    Because each investigation is saved as it runs, you can navigate away, refresh, or come back later and pick up exactly where you left off.

    Answers you can trust, and verify

    This is what makes OrionIQ different, and it matters most when the stakes are high.

    Every finding is tied to the telemetry OrionIQ actually examined. When an answer involves a trend, a distribution, or a ranked list, OrionIQ shows it inline as a chart, a log histogram, or a table built from your real data, instead of describing it in words. Each visual carries a one-click link to the exact query behind it, opened directly in Logz.io, so the evidence is always one click away.

    Just as important, OrionIQ knows the difference between a supported conclusion and a guess. It tracks the evidence each finding rests on, and when that evidence is thin or missing, it lowers its own confidence and says so. A root-cause claim the data doesn’t support is downgraded to a probable cause, with the gap called out. OrionIQ would rather tell you it isn’t sure than sound certain and be wrong.

    OrionIQ investigates your systems, not a generic idea of one.

    • It picks up what you’re already looking at. Your current view, filters, query, and time range come into the conversation without you restating them. Point it at a specific log line or exception and ask it to investigate in a single step.
    • It reaches into your connected systems. Beyond logs and metrics, OrionIQ can pull context from the tools you’ve connected, like Slack, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub, so an investigation reflects how your environment actually runs.
