The Inside Sales Engineer is a key member of the Sales organization aligning our observability technologies with the needs of our prospective customers.  We are looking for a seasoned, hard-working, smart and over-achieving customer facing sales engineer who has a passion for defining, selling, and helping our prospective customers deploy technology solutions. The Inside Sales Engineer is a mid-level technical role that is expected to professionally and accurately present technical presentations and demonstrations across the full array of buyers, from system engineering up to and including the CTO of small to mid-size businesses (SMB).


  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on moderately-sized deals in faster-paced sales cycle
  • Successfully match customer pain/gain requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of our value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate customer needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Effectively define customer success and on-board customers ensuring adoption, and renewal
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • This position does not require travel
  • Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years as a B2B Sales / Pre-Sales Engineer, or a B2B Customer facing engineer in a sales or services role (TAM, Post-Sale Engineer, Solution Architect, Success Engineer, etc.)
  • A broad background in technical infrastructure, including cloud services (AWS, Azure), containers, servers, networking devices, and storage is very desirable
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Ability to work for a dynamic, technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Domain knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: Log Management and Log Analysis, Infrastructure Monitoring, Application Performance Management, Big Data (from a data management perspective), Security and Networking, Business Intelligence/Web Analytics, Operational Intelligence, AI, ML
  • Can work independently
  • Experience in Technical Sales of SIEM/Security products - a big advantage
