About The Position

As the Vice President of Global Sales Engineering you will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be instrumental in driving revenue growth at Logz.io. As a senior member of the revenue organization, you'll be leading a growing global organization of Sales Engineers, working with the leadership team to craft winning strategies, define repeatable playbooks, and drive execution, while seeking all opportunities to improve performance.  This, while ensuring that the team is a happy one: having fun and continuous growing are hallmarks of the Logz.io culture.

The candidate should have exceptional presence and relevance, coupled with the ability to learn quickly and continuously.  Other requirements include:  

  • Strong technical acumen / domain expertise in the areas of software engineering, cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, 
  • Executive presence and ability to carry prospect and customer conversations with gravitas
  • Ability to quickly identify tactical and strategic problems and opportunities and “get after them” with a sense of urgency, collaboration, and brilliance
  • A love for developing winning, repeatable processes coupled with the capability to roll up the shirt sleeves and be hands-on when duty calls.
  • The unequivocal willingness, capacity, and courage required to lead by example
  • Experience working in dynamic, high-growth environments for like-sized organizations
  • An astute listener first and foremost; a gifted and concise communicator secondly

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and professional individual with commercial acumen and professional presentation skills. A natural curiosity for understanding technical environments and willingness to learn about evolving solutions is a must. Experience managing distributed team members is essential - US, UK & Tel Aviv based teams.

  • Sales Engineering Management
  • Coordinate with sales leadership and define strategy and operational model for coverage. 
  • Team Mentoring and Leadership
  • Providing them with guidance through regular reviews will help to achieve this, in conjunction with your personal management style. 
  • Providing Executive Pre-Sales Support
  • Providing executive sponsorship and support to major and strategic sales opportunities and engaging with senior management and technical contacts in customer and reseller partner organizations, to ensure the Logz.io service is positioned correctly, understood and any technical objections are overcome.
  • This position requires continuous improvement of the Sales Engineering function. The VP of Global Sales Engineering will be responsible for:
  • Defining the reporting and metrics for the global team
  • Process for identifying talent, training and continuous evaluation of skills
  • Technical evaluations such as Proof of Concepts and Product Trials
  • Coordination and improvement of the sales process
  • Budgeting and expense management
