About The Position

Logz.io is looking for a technical and product-focused leader to work closely with strategic business partners and 3rd party technical alliance partners to drive product and sales growth for Logz.io and development of the partner ecosystem. The Sales Engineer focused on the Partner channel will work daily with the Logz.io business development team and act as the go-to leader for representing the company’s technical and product interests with 3rd party partners, both in terms of product and ultimate go to market success. The role will be required to be versatile enough to meet with executive leadership at key partner accounts but also be prepared to simultaneously address specific and detailed technical needs and requirements of product management and engineering teams within the same partner organizations. The Sales Engineer focused on the partner channel will also need to work across the Logz.io organization from engineering to product to go to market teams to help ensure that the needs of partners and 3rd party organizations are understood and addressed. Among the specific expectations of the role are the following:

  • Technical product coverage for all 3rd party integrations and tech relationships with the likes of AWS and Azure and HPE, including BD level technical relationship as well as representing the company at executive levels for product.
  • Assist with technical enablement of AWS and Azure field sales organizations specifically being the main contact for technical requirements and GTM needs of cloud solution architects and technical sales specialists.
  • Lead technical product needs for partner recruitment, engagement, and ongoing management with 3rd partner channel partners, including Solution Provider, consulting, reseller, MSP, and global and regional ISVs.
  • Assist Customers Success teams with partner management and involvement when Logz.io is handling tier 1,2,3 support for customers of partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist product support teams with partner management and involvement when Logz.io is handling tier 1,2,3 support for customers of partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project/ Account / Customer Success Manager in the Partner/Channel field.
  • Excellent customer facing skills: training, coaching, discussion management, conflict resolution.
  • A broad background in technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, security, and storage.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: Log Management and Log Analysis, Big Data (from a data management perspective), Business Intelligence/Web Analytics, Operational Intelligence, Security, AI.
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as business and technical acumen.
  • Positive, self-starter attitude with absolute willingness to go the extra mile and exceed expectations.
  • Travel up to 30%.
