DevOps Evangelist

Boston

About The Position

Logz.io is an observability company providing a unified monitoring, troubleshooting, and security platform designed for how DevOps teams work.

We’re looking for someone who’s as passionate about bringing monitoring into the modern age as we are. You’ll need to understand where the market is going and contribute Logz.io’s technology and viewpoint to the conversation and the community. Ultimately your mission is to get the word out about how Logz.io can help DevOps teams deliver better software by offering the world's most popular open source monitoring interfaces in a single, easy to use, and powerful tool purpose built for monitoring distributed cloud environments.

As a DevOps Evangelist, you should be able to exhibit thought leadership in DevOps, speak to Logz.io’ position in the market and strengthen our presence in the community by helping more developers, SREs and DevOps engineers every day.

Responsibilities:

Help.

  • Share our passion about where cloud, distributed workloads, and DevOps is going.
  • Be a helpful friend and resource to all developers, entrepreneurs, and
community leaders – everywhere.
  • Provide customer support to developers in person, over the phone and online – at events and via email, social media, forums, etc.
  • Gather feedback and report that back to the product and engineering teams, helping to guide our roadmap decisions.

Represent.

  • Strengthen Logz.io’s voice within the community
  • Encourage DevOps teams to utilize best practices around monitoring, troubleshooting, and security.
  • Represent what we believe in by attending, speaking and demoing at
conferences, meetups, accelerator programs, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current customers.
  • Help Logz.io build its brand, via a strong presence on social, forums, and in person around the world.

Build (Preferred).

  • Create your own integrations using Logz.io technology and any/all other APIs, SDKs, hardware, and software you think make sense.
  • Contribute to open source projects & communities.
  • Be creative and have fun!

Requirements:

  • Experience (in DevOps, CI/CD, system administration, etc.) and an insistence on staying up to speed with current developments in DevOps. Come to this position from a Developer, DevOps, SRE, or Ops/Sys Admin perspective – however you come, know the value of these groups and the roles they play in system development and uptime. A passion for helping developers and startups do more faster.
  • Personable, outgoing and community-oriented – enjoy interacting with others
(especially geeks!) in professional and social settings.
  • Excellent communicator – via the written and spoken word. Comfortable
speaking one-on-one and in front of small and large groups alike.
  • Willingness to travel – you will attend local, regional and national events. You should expect to be on the road multiple times per month.
  • Independent, responsible and self-motivated – you’ll work on your own, remotely at least 50% of the time. We want someone who takes initiative and gets it done in an overly productive manner. Be the CEO of your position! • An internal drive to be more awesome every day. Do you have the hunger?
