The Sales Engineer is a key member of the Customer Success organization enabling the success of Sales, Customer Success Managers, and most importantly, our customers. We are looking for a seasoned, hard-working, smart and over-achieving customer facing engineer with proven experience defining, selling, and deploying technology solutions. The Solution Architect is a senior level designation and is expected to professionally and accurately present technical presentations across the full array of buyers, from system engineering up to and including the CTO.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate customer needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Effectively define customer success and on-board customers ensuring adoption, and renewal
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • This position will require up to 30% travel

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years as a B2B Customer facing engineer in a sales or services role (TAM, Post-Sale Engineer, Solution Architect etc.)
  • A broad background in technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage is very desirable
  • Full professional proficiency in English, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, business and technical acumen
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Ability to work for a dynamic, technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: Log Management and Log Analysis, Big Data (from a data management perspective), Security and Networking, Business Intelligence/Web Analytics, Operational Intelligence, AI
  • Can work independently
  • Experience in Technical Sales of SIEM/Security products - a big advantage
